Polynesian Monoi Butter

For centuries, the process of creating ultra-fragrant Monoi butter in Polynesia has remained the same. Blossoms of the Tahitian Gardenia are layered in coconut oil and allowed to soak for an extended period. The resulting oil was then used on hair, face and body. For our Melange Monoi Butter, we layer Monoi oil in our rich butter base of sweet almond oil + non GMO soybean oil. The result is a rich, fragrant buttery wax that can be used a variety of ways. For dry skin, use the butter full strength on dry skin after bath or shower. For everyday use, take a small amount and add to your favorite lotion or body oil. Many like to add to their favorite hair oil treatment. We especially love our Melange Monoi Butter in the colder months for its emollient effects on dry akin and summer-like tropical floral aromatic notes.
